The
Region’s best-kept education and job opportunity secret – technical
education – will not be a secret any more. We promise that you will
be surprised and amazed as you learn about the education partnerships that are growing within our community. Come be a part of the future of education as we expand in a global economy. We will acknowledge the importance of two new educational institutions, Worcester Technical High School and University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich England and how they meet the needs of an educational system.
Since 1997, upon the initiative of Congressman James McGovern, WPI,
and the Manufacturing Advancement Center, Manufacturing Our Future Summits
have been held to bring awareness of the economic recovery and renewal to Central Massachusetts and establish an extended advanced manufacturing community for our region.
The 2006 Manufacturing Our Future Summit highlights the importance of building partnerships within business and educational communities. As we explore working with partners here and in England to provide a better skilled workforce.
