Harry Miller Company manufactures cut & sewn textile products and custom assemblies for industrial, commercial, and military use. We are proud supplier of the DoD and many of the nation’s largest defense contractors. Example products include:

Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time Procurement Assistant in Boston, Massachusetts. The Procurement Assistant will research materials, verify product specifications, identify cost savings opportunities, place purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of components parts.

This position will be tailored to the candidate’s unique skill set and may include special projects in sales, marketing, product development, information systems, and/or quality control.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; direct procurement experience in an MRP/ERP demand management manufacturing environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with logistics, business or operations emphasis preferred
  • Ability to learn and understand technical material specifications, quality requirements, and government regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required; must have the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
