Mayfield Plastics is looking for a proven professional quality assurance manager to assume responsibility for our tradition of quality in our rapidly growing plastic thermoforming manufacturing facility in Sutton, MA. While supervising two quality inspectors, the manager we seek must be capable of performing hands-on dimensional and visual inspections by maintaining a robust presence in the facility, and must be familiar with ISO quality systems in order to proactively reduce customer rejections to less than 0.5%.
In addition, the person we seek will implement policies and procedures to monitor all manufacturing and shipping/receiving functions, and will be responsible to audit both internal operations and external vendors to ensure compliance with the Quality Manual. This manager will be called upon to lead the ISO Certification process.
Reporting directly to the president, this person will be responsive to the operations manager while assuming a hand-on presence in the facility. This is not a position for a manager tied to his or her office and a computer.
