Inside Sales Engineer~ Technical Customer Service Support

Our client, a manufacturer of high quality engineered plastic components used in mechanical wear and conveyor applications, is committed to creative solutions, on-time delivery and outstanding customer service. Currently, a challenging opportunity exists for Inside Sales Engineer.

This position requires a creative problem solver who possesses a unique combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to identify customers’ requirements; determine the right mechanical solution and quickly coordinate with internal and external resources to accurately process the order- cost effectively and timely.
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, you’ll also prepare quotations working with an Estimator and vendors; process orders through the ERP system; assemble data for the production department; and, serve as point of contact for telephone and email communications among customers and sales representatives.
We’re seeking a results oriented individual with exceptional organizational and time management skills to build rapport with customers. The successful candidate also has/is
Minimum 2 years’ customer service experience in manufacturing with technical service orientation
1 year minimum experience working with mechanical applications
Understanding of machine shop and machine building equipment
Experience with machined plastics components for mechanical motion and automation applications, desirable
Associates degree in mechanical engineering; B.S. degree preferred
Ability to read blueprints
Strong Math Skills- geometry, trig, units of measure
Knowledge of CAD
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
