Assemblers/Welders

Worcester, MA

Our client is a leading manufacturer of accessory equipment for the paper and web converting industry.  We are looking for several high-energy candidates who have an understanding of general manufacturing welding and assembling processes and techniques, along with knowledge of hand and electrical tools, to join our manufacturing team. These positions report to the Production Manager.

Successful candidates will possess sufficient knowledge of welding technology and assembly techniques, equipment types, purposes and applications, material characteristics and their basic metallurgical aspects.  You will be project oriented, and have experience planning and executing projects from beginning to end.

Required skills include:
.  Ability to visualize and plan a project, including interpreting blueprints, cutting and prepping components, etc.
.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance and work instructions.
.  Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively with employees of the organization.
.  Ability to perform math calculations using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, as well as the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to interpret graphs.
.  Basic computer skills

Additional requirements include:
.  H.S. diploma/GED required.  Vocational training a plus.
.  Minimum ten years diversified welding experience. TIG expertise a must. 
.  Trade knowledge and techniques sufficient to understand mechanical principles, designs and application methods for the products manufactured.
.  Demonstrable track record of working independently on projects as well as in a team environment. 
.  US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green card).
.  Ability to work consistent overtime as needed (average 5-10 hours/week).
.  Ability to lift products on a repetitive basis and above average weight.
