AIM Seeking Nominations for Gould Education & Workforce Development Training Award
Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), an employer association of 6,500 Bay State businesses and institutions, is seeking nominations of individuals, employers, or institutions to receive the John Gould Education & Workforce Development Training Award, at the Association’s 94th Annual Meeting & Luncheon on May 8, 2009, at the Waltham Westin Hotel.
Nomination applications for the Gould Award can be found at www.aimnet.org. Deadline to receive completed applications is March 13, 2009.
AIM established the annual Education and Workforce Development Training award in 1998 to recognize individuals and/or employers and institutions for their contributions to the quality of public education and the advancement, employability, and productivity of residents of the Commonwealth. In 2000, the award was named to honor former AIM president and CEO John Gould upon his retirement to recognize his many contributions to improve the quality of education and workforce training activities in Massachusetts.
Past recipients of the Gould Award include John Rennie, founder of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education; Middlesex Community College; NYPRO, Inc.; William Edgerly, chairman emeritus, State Street Corporation; Northeastern University; The Davis Family Foundation; Intel Massachusetts; EMC Corporation; IBM Corporation; former commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Education, David P. Driscoll; and Raytheon Company’s MathMovesU program.
