Job Opening: STEM Pathways Grant Project Manager/Lead Coach, Worcester, MA
The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for the position of STEM Grant Project Manager/Lead Coach. This position is responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Pathways grant awarded the CMREB by the United States Department of Labor throughout the three Workforce Investment Board (WIB) regions the grant serves (Central MA., North Central MA., and Franklin Hampshire). This position reports directly to the Executive Director and includes such duties as recruiting, hiring and training STEM Career Coaches and Mentors, establishing a virtual STEM "Center of Excellence" and connecting STEM career counseling with the local One-Stop Career Centers in the thee WIB regions. This position is also responsible for data collection and reporting, and some direct services to grant participants.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience in a STEM-related industry. A Master’s Degree in a STEM-related field preferred. Experience in administration, program management, and direct involvement in STEM employment, including understanding of STEM workforce needs, and hiring processes is essential. The Lead STEM Coach/Project Manager will have operational responsibility for regional activities, education and training activities.
