Job Opening: Manufacturing Engineering, Fall River, MA
This well-established company has carved out a premiere position in their marketplace making them very profitable over the years. The position will be responsible for all engineering activities related to designing, tooling, production, and quality assurance of parts and finished models.
Responsible for engineering product design for existing and new products
Interface with internal manufacturing (40 person production facility) and vendors
Manage product compliance related activities
Partner with internal manufacturing to create procedures and programs to improve efficiency and quality
Evaluate and oversee all quality related activities for internally manufactured and purchased items
Implement cost reduction programs
Develop and maintain product specifications, bills of material and other related engineering documents Manage project schedules for new product development and other engineering related projects
Requirements:
B.S. needed; Degree in engineering is ideal
4+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, product design, or related area
Working knowledge of engineering design, production methods, and quality control procedures
Proven ability to independently solve problems and successfully manage concurrent projects
Capable of excelling in a hands-on entrepreneurial environment
Preferred:
Experience interfacing with vendors
Experience working within a global product development environment
Knowledge of metal coatings (plating, painting, PVD)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
3D CAD software experience (Pro/Engineer preferred)
Compensation: $70-80K depending on the selected candidates depth and breadth of experience and expertise in manufacturing management.
