Welcome to the New Economy

Jack,

Right on! However, it also might be ‘Welcome to the No Economy,’ as long as credit and investment remain scarce. I doubt that small companies used to factor in any possibility of unavailable credit, or that their customers would be unable to help with financing large jobs. You seem to think that, somehow, ‘the government’ is going to fix things. An optimist, and aren’t we all, might think that, given a year to five years, this could be true, but I can’t keep my doors open and waiting that long. The basic damage has been done. Banks and other perps have been bailed-out, but the rest of us have to figure out how to survive and hold onto our employees. How about an article on manufacturing strategies in a no-sales climate?
