Job Opening: Quality Manager, Hopkinton, MA

A challenging opportunity exists at our Hopkinton, MA headquarters for Quality Manager to become a key member of the management team by providing leadership for quality management systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that customer requirements are met for our operations located in MA and MI. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the successful candidate will be expected to rely upon experience and judgment to plan, organize, and improve the organization’s quality systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, and to develop, implement, and manage objectives and continuous improvement activities to achieve quality metrics required for business success. In this highly visible and strategic role, the incumbent will champion fulfillment of customer requirements by driving the organization to achieve world-class levels in customer satisfaction ratings.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization to ensure compliance to our client’s quality management systems, customer requirements, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Act as the liaison between the local operations team and other quality teams nationwide.
  • Manage the quality engineering program and internal audit program for the manufacturing plant.
  • Supervise laboratory inspection, in-process technicians, and quality engineering.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, operations, customer service, and others to ensure quality system documentation is accurate and followed, and that audit findings are resolved in a timely fashion to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering.
  • Seven years experience in a quality related technical role.
  • Significant experience interacting with customers.
  • Knowledge of quality system standards (ISO/QS/AS/TS 16949) and FMEA, APQP, PPAP, etc.
  • Expertise with SPC, problem solving, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Expertise in manufacturing operations.
  • Proven management skills and the ability to communicate clearly to people at all levels.
  • Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer, or Certified Quality Auditor, a plus.
