My name is Ana Rosado-Feger. I am currently a PhD candidate in the department of Management at Clemson University, completing my dissertation under the direction of Dr. Lawrence D. Fredendall. I am contacting you because you have a manufacturing facility in the United States.
My dissertation is a study of manufacturing plants and how Plant Managers can choose to implement certain policies and procedures in order to foster collaboration between three key supply chain functions: Purchasing, Operations/Production, and Outgoing Logistics/Shipping. The end result of this study will be a roadmap that can be used by manufacturing companies to improve the integration of their internal processes. A plant where everyone works together can be expected to be more productive and offer better customer service.
I am conducting this research by surveying managers and/or other employees at manufacturing plants. You are being contacted because I believe your input will be highly valuable. You are a member of a select group of target respondents from the New England area, chosen for their experience and expertise.
In order to fulfill all of the goals of the survey, I would like to have members of at least two of the target departments (Purchasing, Operations/Production, and Outbound Logistics/Shipping) complete the survey. If you believe that other individuals may be more appropriate respondents, I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward this message or send me their email address or other contact information, so that they may receive an invitation to participate. Participants who wish to receive a copy of the results will be sent an executive summary upon completion of the project.
The survey itself takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all results are held in the strictest confidence. This study has been reviewed by Clemson University’s Institutional Review Board.
