Job Opening: Solderers, Springfield, Massachusetts

OnCore Manufacturing Services, one of the world’s premier electronics manufacturing companies serving the Defense, Medical and Industrial markets, is looking for Solderers, 17 positions – six 1st shift, eight 2nd shift, three 3rd shift.

These positions are responsible for soldering components and assembling to printed circuit boards utilizing a soldering iron. The essential duties and responsibilities include: primary component type soldering of thru hole devices only, melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of work pieces to solder joints using soldering iron, clean /polish work pieces and tip of soldering iron using chemical solution, file, or wire brush, apply flux to work piece surfaces in preparation for soldering, heat soldering iron or work piece to specified temperature for soldering using electric current, examine product to verify conformance to workmanship standards, and count finished product to determine completion of production order. 

Experience/Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards, and electronics component identification, IPC-DVD-64C
