Job Opening: Vice President of Manufacturing, Auburn ME
A leading and well-established wood products manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to oversee its manufacturing operations in Maine. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies to ensure that manufacturing capacity and quality meet current and future needs in a timely and cost effective manner. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the position, which will include floor type management, will involve working with a small existing team to change the manufacturing culture, including implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes.
The successful candidate will likely have at least five years of manufacturing management experience in organizations using lean manufacturing methods. Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills are important for success.
