Nominations for International Trade Achievement Awards Sought by MAIB
The Massachusetts Alliance for International Business (MAIB), an affiliate of Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), is seeking nominations for the 13th annual MAIB International Trade Achievement Awards, which recognize Massachusetts firms, institutions, public agencies, or individuals who have demonstrated creativity and leadership in their international trade-related activities. The Awards will be presented at AIM’s Annual Meeting & Luncheon on May 9, 2023 at the Waltham Westin Hotel. The Nomination Form can be obtained online by clicking the link.
"The awards highlight the success that the Commonwealth’s businesses and institutions have achieved in the international marketplace and underscore how international trade contributes to and benefits the state’s economy," said Kristen Rupert, MAIB’s Executive Director.
Rupert noted, "Since 1996, more than 50 Massachusetts companies, ranging from firms that are household names such as Raytheon and State Street, to smaller firms including Health Enterprises of North Attleboro, Heinrich Ceramic Decal of Worcester, and BTU International of Billerica, have received recognition for their international business success. In addition, nonprofit organizations such as the University of Massachusetts-Boston and the Massachusetts Export Center have also been recognized for their contributions."
Criteria for the MAIB International Trade Achievement Awards include:
Increasing or retaining jobs in Massachusetts by expanding or entering new international markets
Demonstrating new or creative solutions to the challenges of exporting
Producing or adapting a product line or service for a foreign market
Establishing alliances or partnerships to increase international business
Investing in infrastructure or manufacturing in Massachusetts and enhancing foreign trade
In 2008, three awards will be presented. Nominations for the International Trade Achievement Awards are open through March 14, 2023 and can be obtained along with the list of past award recipients at www.aimnet.org/maib.
