We are looking for an experienced shop floor manager with sheet metal fabrication expertise to fill a newly created position of Production Manager. This person will be responsible for efficient operation of sheet metal and assembly lines with a focus on exceeding delivery, quality, and profitability goals. We need someone who excels at working with people from different backgrounds and is passionate about eliminating waste.
The ideal applicant would have:
Strong interpersonal skills managing direct labor employees, ensuring each employees strengths are optimized
Technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication with a variety of materials and thicknesses to continually improve quality
Demonstrated success with implementing a Lean Manufacturing culture and developing tools for a shop floor
Experience planning/scheduling using MRP scheduling systems, including implementation of work center data collection
This position will report to the Vice President of Operations. Additional training will be provided for our MRP system, Lean tools, Data Collection system, and quality system. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a 4.5 day work week, a quarterly profit sharing plan (with no cap!), an 8% bonus if quality and on-time standards are met, a safety bonus, full health care insurance, and 24 paid days off (holidays/vacation/personal).
