Nuvera Fuel Cells to Relocate World Headquarters to Billerica, MA

Nuvera Fuel Cells, Inc. announced that it is moving its world headquarters, currently located in Cambridge, MA, to Billerica, MA on Friday, June 8, 2007. Nuvera, who broke ground on the new location last July, has undergone an extensive renovation of the facility, located at 129 Concord Road, Building 1, Billerica, MA, 01821. The renovation included creation of over 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 25 state-of-the art research and development labs and expanded office space to house a projected increase in staff. Total square footage in Billerica will be over 110,000.

The move comes in support of Nuvera’s increase in production, training, and customer service in anticipation of its commercial release of three products in 2008. The new facility will allow for large scale manufacturing of PowerTap and PowerFlow for the material handling market and Forza for the chemical process industry.

"Nuvera is proud to be an alternative energy company based in Massachusetts. This move shows both the investment we have made in ensuring our progress towards commercialization, along with the support the Commonwealth has provided us, allowing us to expand here in the state. Our new facility makes it possible for us to substantially increase the focus on downstream activities to assure a quality introduction of our products in 2008," said Roberto Cordaro, President and CEO of Nuvera Fuel Cells, Inc.

Nuvera Fuel Cells is a global leader in the development and advancement of multi-fuel processing and fuel cell technology committed to providing clean, safe, and efficient power solutions. With offices located in the US and Italy, Nuvera is committed to advancing the commercialization of: hydrogen fuel cell power modules for industrial vehicles, equipment, and stationary applications; on-site hydrogen generation and on-board gasoline fuel processors; and fuel cell stacks and power systems for automotive and transportation applications.
