Job Opening: Manufacturing/Process Engineer, Worcester, MA
This position at Wyman-Gordon provides program support to both Manufacturing and the Process Control organization. Reporting to the Production Manager, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans. This position will also be responsible for implementing cost reductions, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to reengineering activities at the site.
Essential Job Functions
Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans
Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area
Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems
Assist and develop training program initiatives
Provide administrative support to reengineering activities

Education and Qualifications
College degree preferred (BS Engineering or Metallurgical Field)
MBA desirable
Or 1-7 years of related manufacturing experience
Special Skills and Physical Requirements
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Excellent computer skills (CAD, MS Office, Syteline, NDT)
Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques
Working knowledge of Synchronous Manufacturing and Kaizen process improvement techniques
Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member
Good organizational and writing skills
