Job Opening: VP of Operations/Plant Manager, Sterile Manufacturing, Greater Boston
Senior executive responsible for overseeing the operations of manufacturing and materials management for the launch of our client’s lead pharmaceutical product and the production of clinical trial material for products in development. This highly visible position is part of the Company’s management team and involves frequent interfacing with other functions through the Company.
Responsibilities Overseeing the day to day operations of a commercial sterile manufacturing plant Manage all steps necessary to manufacture and ship clinical trial material and commercial product, including production planning, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, manufacturing facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering, product cost, staffing and distribution.
Requirements
15-20 years of senior manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and aseptic filling
Oversight of a commercial manufacturing facility
BS in engineering preferred or BS in sciences
MBA or advanced degree in engineering or science is a plus
Proven track record in bringing online commercial manufacturing facilities that have met US and foreign regulatory standards
Manufacturing experience in an aseptic process manufacturing environment is required
Proven track record in supporting the development and launch of new products
Excellent organizational and communication skills and strong leadership skills required
