Duties: The Finisher at J&L Fiber Services will set-up, program, operate, and maintain (add lubrication, recover from errors, etc.) various production equipment. Activities from fixturing to inspection must be performed as directed by procedures and programs. End result is product meeting customer specifications.

Blanchard Grinding for Plate cope, drag, and taper
OD Grinding of Loco Plate Bosses Blanchard, Manual Edge Mill, and Bullard VTL
Balance, Demagnification, and Pack
Power Team press, pneumatic hand tools, and manual tools for Screen Cylinder Assembly and Screen RMR processing
Height, micrometer, caliper, pin, thread, and feeler for inspection
Milwaukee panel saw, circular saw, drill, etc. for building crates
Fork truck operation for material handling
Product inspection and accompanying paperwork and forms
Maintenance of receiving Inspection Logs
Performing Cycle Counts
Tracing related orders in the system for received items
Loading shipping schedule
Performing other processes and duties within the Finishing group
Blastworks sand blaster with Allen Bradley SLC500 and Panelview 600 for Hoop and Cylinder Deburring
Performing inventory transactions
Verifying routings, inventory, and Bill of Material information
Creating forms on the system
Performing other processes and duties within the Finishing group, as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 60 pounds from waist to chest.
Ability to carry up to 50 pounds 15 feet.
Ability to push or pull heavy loads with the aid of a wheeled cart.
Withstand exposure to noise.
Qualifications:
8th grade basic skill proficiency in Reading, Math, and Language.
Must be trainable.
Desire to work within a team environment.
Minimum score of 17+ on Wonderlic.
