Job Opening: Product Improvement and Process Control Engineer Positions, Huntington, WV
Special Metals Corporation is the world’s leading producer of high-performance nickel-base alloys. We are currently seeking product improvement and process control engineers to fill several key positions at our manufacturing location in Huntington, WV.
Duties Candidates for these positions must possess at least a B.S. in engineering, preferably in metallurgical or materials; candidates with mechanical, or industrial engineering degrees will also be considered, especially if they have relevant experience. Manufacturing experience, especially in the specialty metals industry, will be advantageous.
Specific areas of relevant experience include forging and hot rolling nickel-base alloy products as well as related process such as machining and heat treating. Experience in continuous improvement and statistical process control is also of interest for these positions.
Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills. These positions require working in a manufacturing environment. Good computer skills are required, including knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications as well as familiarity with statistical software.
