The Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development will host its 3rd annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at a luncheon at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
In the only awards event of its kind in Massachusetts, 15 companies from across the Commonwealth will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. The companies were selected based on their job and facility expansion since January 1, 2005, as well as other factors, including community involvement.
Honored companies fall into two categories – established, which includes companies founded prior to 2001, and emerging, which includes companies founded after January 1, 2001. One company in each category will be honored in each of the five regions of the state, as listed below.

The Chairman’s Award, which is new this year, will go to David A. Tibbetts for his leadership in economic development.
The panel of judges for the Economic Impact Awards included Robert Culver, President and CEO of MassDevelopment; Michael DiGiano, Executive Vice President of NAI Hunneman Commercial; Cheyrl LaFleur, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, National Grid; Kevin Quinn, President of Dacon Corporation; and Girard Sargent, Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank.
The event will feature a keynote address by Cathy Minehan, President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Gloria Larson of Foley Hoag, Chair of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority and former Secretary of Economic Affairs is the Master of Ceremonies. Over 400 are expected to attend this event.

The Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MAED) is a private, non-profit partnership of business, industry leaders, and government dedicated to fostering economic growth in the Commonwealth. Launched in 1993 as an outgrowth of recommendations of the Governor’s Council on Economic Growth and Technology, MAED promotes Massachusetts by providing information services to companies seeking to expand within or relocate to Massachusetts.
