Job Opening: Chief Executive Officer, New York

Function
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this individual will assume overall responsibility for marketing, sales, finance, administration, and operations for this public Company. The Company performs R&D, design, manufacturing, and marketing of linear and switching power supplies; ruggedized chassis and enclosures; electro mechanical drive systems; and power management systems focused on energy conservation applications. These products are sold primarily to a variety of military contractors, the federal government, commercial OEM suppliers, and the hybrid energy industry.

The selected candidate will establish interim milestones and have direct responsibility for all operational aspects of the Company, with particular emphasis on sales, marketing, and strategic planning activities. This individual will also have considerable interface with research and development and engineering in the specification, design, and implementation of the firm’s present and future products. This position will be instrumental in the consolidation of current operating divisions as well as in consolidating companies that will be acquired by the Company in the short term.

The CEO will use his/her strong industry and public financial community contacts to build relationships and formalize agreements through which the Company can leverage its technology and applications and build shareholder value through stock price appreciation. He/she will formulate and implement the Company’s strategic product plans for market penetration and growth in selected niches. The CEO is expected to have significant impact on the Company’s ability to successfully meet its forecasted business levels through astute allocation and management of the Company’s resources. This individual will create a strong team orientation through a participative management style involving all the members of the Company.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant business experience in marketing, sales, business development with previous responsibility for profit/loss is required, preferably in a public company environment. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing and/or sales executive with considerable expertise in marketing to the military/industrial/commercial marketplace. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to work with and manage technical professionals in specifying and producing applications oriented products. He/she will have been involved in the growth of a smaller company or in the building of an entrepreneurial group within a larger organization.

The selected candidate will have developed significant market stature, visibility, and contacts to effectively sell the Company’s products and capabilities at the highest levels of industry. He/she will have the personality, presentation skills, and wherewithal to convey a polished, high profile image of the Company to the marketplace. The ideal candidate will have been previously involved in successfully communicating expectations to the financial community.

This individual will have broad experience in managing technology driven, applications oriented, product organizations in a number of markets. The chosen candidate will exhibit a unique understanding of how to manage more mature technology in stable markets while at the same time advancing new products and technology in growing, but rapidly changing markets.

A shirt-sleeve manager and team player, this individual will possess superior organizational and leadership skills and a demonstrable record of achievement in growing and managing a profitable business. This includes the ability to understand and meet the product needs of target markets while maintaining a clear vision of the Company’s long-term goals.

Superior oral and written communication skills are essential, particularly since this individual is expected to play the lead role in business development, joint ventures, licensing, acquisitions, and other marketing activities critical to the Company’s short term growth.

Education
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Compensation
The Company offers a competitive compensation package including a significant equity position. The selected candidate is expected to achieve major capital gains through stock appreciation as the Company grows and matures.

Organizational Relationships
This position will report to the Board of Directors of the Company.
