Job Opening: Mechanical Engineer, Connecticut

Job Description
Engineering design for (i) a compact acoustic PVDF sensor, (ii) the housing for a handheld medical diagnostic device, and (iii) the housing for the accompanying base station. Tasks include initial design, 3-D modeling, design for producibility, finite element stress analysis, mold design, material selections, assembly process definition, and final design for the handheld, the base station, and the acoustic sensor. Tasks also include requirements development, configuration control, and validation that the system meets all requirements including Federal Drug Agency certification processes.

Minimum Experience
Five (5) years experience with CATIA or SolidWorks mechanical design software. Experience performing finite element analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Minimum five years experience in a production environment.

Minimum Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3.5 GPA

Salary
Based on experience
