Axiomatic Design Process Technology The
axiomatic design process (ADP) was developed at Massachusetts Institute
of Technology to provide a reliable product development process that
avoids wasteful design-build-test-redesign cycles. Both the ADP methodology
and its supporting software tool enable manufacturers to dramatically
increase the reliability of their product development cycle. This technology
has proven to be practical, simple, and effective on projects ranging
from a single engineer working on a Ford cup holder to teams designing
