To meet today’s competitive challenges, every company has to be efficient and have access to an efficient and reliable supply chain. Everyone is reacting to pressure from customers to lower product prices and from company stakeholders to improve return on capital. Now, Associated Industries of Massachusetts and the Manufacturing Advancement Center (MAC) through Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership have joined with others to present a series of seminars designed to help you develop the strategy and acquire the tools to meet these challenges successfully!
TimeWise for Supply Chains A Lean supply chain strategy is presented that rationalizes and drives collaborative improvement between suppliers and customers to achieve sustainable and continuous results to all parties. The 3-hour session involves participation in a physical board-based simulation as a way to "experience" the supply chain strategy first hand. The simulation incorporates the roles of business customers, suppliers, warehouse and sales manager, factory workers, accountant, a simulated IT network, and transportation service providers. A performance scoreboard is used to show how supply chain improvements impact financial performance via the income statement and balance sheet. Financial statements are examined after two rounds of improvements to demonstrate impact on profitability, asset utilization, and growth.
