The MassMEP Lean Roundtable Series continues in May at Benthos! The Lean Roundtable series is an invitation-only event that brings together Lean practitioners for a morning of networking and knowledge sharing on how to implement and sustain Lean manufacturing. We will meet at Benthos in Falmouth on Tuesday, May 3, 2023 from 7:30 – 11:30 am. Learn how Benthos has implemented Lean principals at a high mix – low volume manufacturing facility.
With the support of Mass DET training grants, Benthos has made significant strides in their journey down the road of Lean. By utilizing value stream maps, cell manufacturing, and a restructuring of their purchasing process to support lean manufacturing techniques, Benthos will showcase their success while looking for feedback from the attendees on how they can make even more improvements.
Benthos, Inc. is a leading provider of high technology products and integrated systems that are used for measurement, inspection, data collection, and communication in remote and challenging environments. The Undersea Systems Division of Benthos provides geophysical survey systems, side scan sonar systems, glass flotation spheres, acoustic releases, hydrophones, underwater modems, pingers, and other oceanographic products for both deep and shallow water applications.
The TapTone Package Inspection Division of Benthos provides package inspection systems to food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical and personal care processors. These systems are used to verify seal integrity, fill level, dud detection, and find other defects in consumer packages. Benthos is certified to ISO-9001 quality standards.
