    Letter to the Editor

Here’s a letter I sent to the President. They gave the contract for Marine One to a multi-national consortium instead of Sikorsky who had an all American team. Sikorsky is safer, greater range, larger payload, and more cost effective. I think it’s political bribery.

When I flew in the military, even though the contracts went to the lowest bidder they were American companies. I was shocked and disappointed that the DOD would give the contract for Marine 1 to foreign suppliers. After 50 years of success with the Sikorsky Aircraft, I couldn’t believe that you would sell out for political reasons. As one of your former staunchest supporters I am thoroughly disappointed with your policy decision.
