MassMEP Partners with DOE on Build4Scale Training
By John Killam, President, MassMEP
Over the past year or so, MassMEP has been working on a team with the Department of Education to develop a training program for the Department of Energy. This training program —DOE's Build4Scale training — provides scientists and engineers with knowledge of manufacturing processes, an understanding of product design for manufacturing, and the know-how to make and evaluate manufacturing-related decisions. The online hub at build4scale.org features a self-assessment tool, a resource library and glossary, and six technical training modules. We hope you'll consider getting the word out about this resource for energy hardware innovators and making it available to your stakeholders!
I also want to let you know that we just launched DOE's American Inventions Made Onshore (AIM Onshore) Prize Competition. AIM Onshore is looking for creative, sustainable ways to deliver the Build4Scale training to innovators and facilitate new partnerships between the innovators and domestic manufacturers. For more information, go to the AIM Onshore Prize tab at build4scale.org. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
