Job Opportunities

HR Director, Specialty Chemicals, Eastern USA

Some might say that we are looking for an oxymoron; but no, we are not. We are searching for a very rare professional, someone both credentialed and experienced with a solid foundation in the specialty chemical industry. Another industry potentially could be plastics. Let’s get to our expectations:

  • A member of the executive team that provides perspective from the human capital aspect for both the annual and the longer team strategic plans.

  • A change agent.

  • A strong collaborator with the business leaders to produce positive, measurable, qualitative change throughout the organization, guiding them throughout the process.

  • Earned credentials and degrees, e.g. SPHR, MBA.

  • Both knowledge and understanding of the theory of, and a history of the practical implementation, of the ropes to skip and the ropes to know within this critical role, especially performance metrics and matrix management.

  • Be the quintessential diplomat with all, but never afraid to speak one’s mind; the flip side is having the real capacity to listen to others as they  speak their minds. Lots and lots of pride with the most minimal amount of hubris.

  • Have a burning passion for good business and minimal tolerance for inertia and the cleverness to finesse those caught by inertia to break free and to join the Change Team.

  • The ability to keep one’s eye on the defined end game and always work as a member of the total team for execution.

  • Experience in managing a globally distributed HR organization and all the nuances that involves.

  • Ability to take an organization from a transactional posture to a strategic one where change is the norm.

So, what do you get in return. First, the chance to make a true significant difference and then to reap the rewards of that effort. Our client is a well-established, global entity dedicated to improving itself for a more robust future. Your role is to be one of the prime catalysts in this adventure. Besides the valuable experience gained, the other significant factor is your personal satisfaction for a job well done. It will be a challenge but a great one, one that will open other avenues for you.

We offer a very competitive compensation plan and relocation package. This search is global.  The location is in the Eastern USA. Travel is a component. Relocation will be required. If you feel that you meet these requirements, then contact me, directly, by email, only. Please include the following: a short note that summarizes how you meet our requirements, your compensation plan, and a copy of your resume. We will respond to all qualified persons. If we do not contact you, we will retain your information for future engagements.
