Job Opening: Office Administrator, Boylston, MA
Phillips Precision, a full-service, light-run production machine shop, is looking for an office administrator, part-time to full-time. Position includes general office support primarily for owners of company.
Responsibilities include answering phones, data entry, creating purchase orders, estimates, invoices, and packing lists, as necessary, in Quickbooks and E2 Shoptech database. Also, submit hours worked to payroll, schedule meetings, and provide work-related support to machinists, perform database backups, order supplies, sort mail, and process shipping documents. Keep personnel and company financial data strictly confidential.
Candidate must have good organizational skills, be able to work independently and act professionally with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees. Candidate should have a working knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office products, Quickbooks Pro, e-mail, Internet, and electronic filing and desktop functions. Candidate should also have a working knowledge of typical office equipment and be able to trouble-shoot small problems. Knowledge of human resource functions and experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Candidate will be required to participate in Lean Manufacturing and Plant Layout training and help to implement new processes.
